Many of us have walked in this Christianity for a long time we can count years. Many of us claim that we believe in Jesus. Some of us just heard that Christianity is good and we just started following.
Our reasons for following are driven by something else other than wholeness. We move by the crowd not even knowing where we are headed to.
Mark 5:31 And His disciples said unto Him, Thou seest the multitude thronging thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me?
As shocking as it is, it is true that some of us have not reached Christ yet. We are just part of the crowd. The woman had identified a problem and knew where the solution was.
Her touch was different from the pressing crowd. As weak as she was, her touch was the one that was felt. You may have walked with Christ for a long time but He hasn’t experienced your touch yet because it is not faith driven. As long as your walk with Christ is just casual, be sure that He hasn’t experienced your touch yet.
To the curious crowd pressing about Jesus there was imparted no vital power. But the suffering woman who touched Him in faith received healing. So in spiritual things does the casual contact differ from the touch of faith? To believe in Christ merely as the Saviour of the world can never bring healing to the soul.
The faith that is unto salvation is not a mere assent to the truth of the gospel. True faith is that which receives Christ as a personal Saviour.
There was a group of people who were sick or had some problems that Christ could have attended to. They even touched Him by chance but never got the healing or solutions to their problems because they had a casual walk with him.
Today check whether your walk with Him is casual or not. Are you touching Him by mistake or by faith? Can your touch get His attention?
