Every week in February has been filled with bad news and it will only get worse if Believers in Ghana do not rise up and pray. The Bible says “And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.” 1John 5:19
Many lives have been lost and how many more do we sit and watch loose their lives. I don’t know about you but i feel an ache inside, a deep compassion for the families who have lost loved ones and most importantly, I feel an urgent need to call upon my Father in heaven to intervene on behalf of this nation Ghana.
We are soldiers of God and called to fight for this nation.
Sometimes it’s hard to know where to begin or how to pray. We just know we have a deep ache in our hearts that cries out for God’s mercy, and a longing to see him heal our land. And maybe other times we wonder how effective our prayers even are.
Yet God is faithful no matter how we feel and over all that swirls around us in our nation today. That same power that broke prison chains, that raised Lazarus from the dead, and parted the Red Sea, that same power that healed the blind man, and delivered the delirious from demons, that same power is at work still today. He is the same. Yesterday, today, and forever.
Christians in Ghana Arise
May we stand together and pray for Ghana for God to heal our land, and strengthen His people. May we pray for all those in authority. May we pray for God’s miraculous intervening, and for release of the prisoners such as Pastor Saeed still held in Iran. May we pray for blind eyes to be opened, for many to see the power of our Lord as never before. For times when it’s difficult to know what to pray, we can trust these words as a place to begin, “The Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.” Romans 8:26
We are never left to fend for ourselves, wrestling in worry, consumed with fear, or tempted towards hate. He reminds us He is with us. He reminds us He will help us. He reminds us He has not lost control, but has a plan, and that His purposes will prevail. He hears our prayers, He knows our needs. There’s great power in uniting together, turning our hearts towards our Lord, and praying on behalf of our nation.
As the Bible says “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” Ephesians 6:12 KJV
All Ghana is waiting for the manifestation of the sons of God (Rom. 8:19 ).
So I say to Christians in Ghana, don’t take things lying down, Christians in Ghana, Arise and take up your stand.
