Bishop Agyin-Asare honours former Presidents Kufuor, Mahama

The founder of Perez Chapel International, Bishop Charles Agyin-Asare   has honoured former presidents John Agyekum Kufuor and John Dramani Mahama for their contribution to Ghana’s development as well as the church in the country.

He presented special Kente Cloth frame to both former presidents during the 30th anniversary ceremony on Sunday, August 20, at the Perez Dome in Accra, after recalling respective fond memories he shared with each of them during the administrations.

According to Agyin-Asare , while Mahama has been supportive of the church in many ways, Kufuor also accorded Christians due respect while he was in office to the extent that he once consulted with the clergy on a critical issue concerning fuel price increases.

Mr Kufuor was the special guest of honour at the climax of the anniversary. After receiving his honour, he shared with the congregation how blessed he has been throughout his whole life simply because he appreciated God for every little blessing that came his way.

John Dramani Mahama, who could not make it to the service, sent a video message in which he recalled how in 2015, he joined Bishop Agyin-Asare on December 31 night to pray into the New Year and asked God to do away with dumsor, which in his opinion, God did.
