Blameless but Barren!

Luke 1:6-7 reads, “And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless. And they had no child, because that Elisabeth was barren, and they both were now well stricken in years.”

Are you serving God and yet not seeing His promises fulfilled in your life? It could be a promise of a child, marriage, finances, job or ministry. At times, when your long awaited miracle seems to be delaying, there is the tendency for you to blame yourself.

Elizabeth and Zacharias were married for many years without a child because Elizabeth was barren. She was not barren because of something she had done wrong. Neither was it her husband’s fault. The scripture says they were both RIGHTEOUS, walking in the commandments and ordinances of God; BLAMELESS.

The fact that you are serving God does not mean you would not have problems. Problems are part of life and happen to everyone; both righteous and unrighteous.

In times of trouble, don’t blame yourself. Keep serving God and trust Him to change your circumstance. Zacharias continued to perform his duty as a priest even though his wife was barren, and an angel appeared to him with good news.

May you receive your miracle as you keep serving God!
