Jesus Christ is coming back and our beliefs would not deter or change His plan

Rev.Ransford Obeng-2

The founder and Senior Pastor of Calvary Charismatic Centre (CCC), Rev. Ransford Obeng, has entreated Christians to live a holy and righteous lives as that was the only prerequisite for the second coming of Christ.

He intimated that as Christians, there was the need for us to know the kind of lifestyle we should live if we know Christ is coming back.

He reiterated that Jesus Christ is coming back and our beliefs would not deter or change His plan. Hence, it was expedient for us to be aware and get prepared to meet our Lord and Saviour Jesus.

“Our attitudes must be right and we must prepare for the second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ”, he stated.

He noted that there was the need to have a personal encounter with the Lord, adding that Christ is coming for a re-generated people. Regenerated people are those who have a change of heart and mind and have right standing with the Lord Jesus.

“Jesus is coming for a people with a tender heart and our lives must be touched by Him. We must develop an appetite for God”, he noted.

Rev. Ransford also emphasized that Christ is coming for a Spirit-filled people, adding that we cannot live our lives as Christians outside the Holy Spirit.  The Holy Spirit is the greatest teacher and he urged Christians to be sensitive and call on God in times of difficulties. He stated that the sign of being filled with the Holy Spirit is the fruits we bear and the anointing of God only confirms God’ Words upon our lives and it requires righteous living.

Morse so, we must learn how to use what God has endowed us with. The Holy Spirit is our Helper. He is there to assist us. He will guide us to all truth.  John 16:7-15.

Furthermore, we need to be filled with the Holy Spirit based on the following points.

  • Because the Word of God commands a Spirit-filled life. Ephesians 5:18
  • The work of God demands it. Zechariah 4:6, 2 Corinthians 3:5-6
  • Because it’s the normal Christian life in the Book of Acts. Acts 19:1-6

He therefore cautioned the congregation to be on the watch out for the deceptive nature of some “Men of God” who plays on the ignorance of the people.

“Anything outside the Word of God and prayer is deceptive and can lead to destruction of lives”,

He concluded by saying it istime for the church and congregation to reflect on our walk with God, His goodness, Faithfulness and also to give gratitude to Him for how far He has brought us.

It is also a life transforming period to help us birth out what is hidden in our hearts. It is also a time for addressing issues related to leadership, personal and career development, family and the social transformation of our people.
