John.1:29.(KJV).” The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.”
To “behold” means to view face to face, to consider intensely, or to observe fully. The Word of God reveals the true character and nature of our Lord Jesus.
When we spend time reading and understanding it’s truth, we see Jesus as He really is. His goodness, kindness, endless love and compassion and enduring faithfulness is demonstrated in all He did while walking amongst us on this earth.
He is the Prince of Peace Himself and His Words continue to carry Life and power for all those who choose to behold them. As we spend time in His Word, let’s choose to intensely consider all He is to us as we fully observe all He has done for us. And as the Holy Spirit reveals His beautiful nature to us, we will see Him clearly, as if we are looking at Him face to face.
Every time you read the Word, we pray you behold Him and become overwhelmed by what an excellent Saviour He is.
