Friday, 27 October 2017 – Obedience leads to holiness

Scripture: 1 Peter 1:14 – 16
As obedient children, do not be conformed to the passions of your former ignorance, but as he who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct,   since it is written, You shall be holy, for I am holy.

Brief Explanation:
God expects us to be holy. Being holy means being pure and very clear from sin. Can this be obtained? Yes, it can be obtained. That’s why God expects us to achieve and maintain that always.
How can we be holy? By obeying the Words of God and doing what He says. Don’t be swayed by words of men like, “None is perfect”, and the likes. If Noah and Job were testified by God and these people stayed on earth, then we can also be holy.
If we put the old ways back and obey always and also pray for the direction of God, then we can achieve. Let us strive to live holy lives to please God.

Prayer: Thank You, Lord for today. Forgive all our sins and help us to obey You always until we become holy. Amen.
