How do we partake of the blessings of God?

Today’s key passage is a good example and I believe that most people want to lead happy and fulfilled lives. We want to receive God’s blessings in our lives, but sometimes we do not do our part in this process.

God’s specific reasons for extra blessings are promised and they are open to you or anyone who serves both God and your fellow man.

He gives His individual gifts of the spirit and even gives the very gift of faith itself to show you His love and presence–all between you and your Father together enjoying each other in both spiritual and physical blessings. Being in God’s will opens wide His storehouse of blessings to you to pour out to you to be overflowing.

Humble yourself as Jesus said: “Blessed are the ‘poor in spirit’: for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven.”(Matthew 5:3) Read this and the other eight blessings for you as they were explained by Jesus, in Matthew 5, which are keys to unlocking such personal blessings.

Obedience – “do not forget my teaching, but keep my commands in your heart” (Vs. 1) – In order to practice obedience to God’s Word, we must first know what God’s Word says.

As we read the Bible and learn more about God, we can begin to keep His commands in our hearts, and can eventually get better and better at obeying Him. As a result, His commands will, “prolong your life many years and bring you prosperity.” (Vs. 2)

God is the most reliable Being in the universe. When He says He will do something, He does it! Human beings, however, sometimes break their word, but God will not—CANNOT—lie (Heb. 6:18; Tit. 1:2).

It does not matter how small of an income one has. God is focused on whether someone will obey Him in faithfully tithing, not on the amount. If you make 1Gh  in a week, turn in 10 pesewas for God’s Work that is your 1st tithe and put aside 10 pesewas for the Feast your 2nd tithe. If your income is very small or sporadic, you can certainly wait to send in your tithes once a month or every other month.

The important thing is to be consistent and show God a pattern of obedience. But, if you receive regular paychecks, remember that the longer you delay in paying God’s tithes to His headquarters, the longer you are stealing from Him, and bringing a curse on yourself.
