How to spot a false teacher

1tim1:3-4: As I urged you when I went into Macedonia, stay there in Ephesus so that you may command certain people not to teach false doctrines any longer or to devote themselves to myths and endless genealogies. Such things promote controversial speculations rather than advancing God’s work — which is by faith.

In this era, Christianity has grown in most countries on the continent. Giving many the opportunity to know the one and only true God and His son Jesus Christ. They also have salvation and become righteous in Christ.

In the scripture above, Paul urges Timothy to stay in Ephesus so that he could command certain men not to teach false doctrines any longer. The rest of the details are shown in the later verses of chapter 1.

However with these information, we are able to know ways of identifying a false teacher of the word of God. Some characteristics include: Being devoted to myths and endless genealogies. Promoting controversies instead of love and Meaningless talk.
The bible warns us to stay away from people with these traits. Due to their corrupt ways.

This is also an eye opening for us to build a stronger relationship with our father. And not put our trust in men, which may lead to destruction. Amen!

Thank you Father for choosing me as your own. I ask that you that you reveal the true knowledge of who you are. As I walk this life’s journey with you, in Jesus’ Name, Amen.
