How well do you value your partner and not taking them for granted

This is the outcome of a poor relationship. As far as you want to have a relationship with someone, you need to pay attention to their needs and complaints. No one wants to be in a relationship alone, if you are going to make me feel alone in your company, I’m better off walking alone.

“Don’t just think about your own affairs, but be interested in others, too, and in what they are doing” – Philippians 2:4 (TLB).

It doesn’t matter your financial status or how good or bad the economy is, it costs zero Ghanaian Cedis to put a smile on your partner’s face. It’s dangerous to let someone else be responsible for the smile on your partner’s face. It could mean you are on the verge of losing them.

You have the power to create heaven in your relationship. You first start by being a good listener, being considerate, thoughtful, caring and looking for ways and means to put smiles on their face.

Call them in the middle of your busy schedule to ask of how they are doing, send them text messages to tell them how you love them and miss them even though you just parted ways.  No matter the pressure or how bad their day has been, your simple text has the power to make them smile.

Never take small things for granted, their weight are unmeasurable. It’s the little things that make your relationship take off from the ground.

Remember, agreeing to stay in love, fall in love or accept someone’s marriage proposal means you promise to make them smile, to hold their hands when they need someone to walk with, through the storm of life, to share your last meal with, give them a good massage after a long day of tiredness, to laugh at their stupid jokes, to listen to how horrible their day was, to hold them in your arms when they feel their world is crashing down, to make them see million reasons why they should stay with you.

One secret you need to know is that; every man sees his second mother in you as his wife, whilst every woman sees her first child in her husband. Just as you can’t ignore your mother or your child, same way you should never ignore your spouse.

Always bear in mind, anytime you ignore your partner, you are teaching them to live without you. Every healthy and lasting relationship needs consistency, stability, respect and loyalty.

In conclusion “People who don’t take care of their relatives, and especially their own families, have given up their faith. They are worse than someone who doesn’t have faith in the Lord” – 1 Timothy 5:8 (CEV).
