Dear Auntie Joe,
I recently secured a job in a good company after 3 years of unemployment. My immediate boss has taken a liking to me after being there for only 6 weeks. He commends me openly and sites me as a good example for the others to emulate.
I see it is beginning to bring some friction between my colleagues and I.
How do I handle this unusual favour without losing this job and the friendships I have come to build?

It is God who has given you this favour, but it is up to you to use it wisely. Office politics is everywhere, even in the church.
You should stay focused on your work and maintain a good relationship with everyone. Remember, not everyone will like you; some will even envy you for this. However, one thing we know as Christians is that our ultimate aim is to please God, and even our enemies will be at peace with us. “When a man’s ways please the Lord, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him.” (Proverbs 16:7)
May the lord give you wisdom and grace to overcome.
