The presiding Bishop of the Lighthouse Chapel International, Dag Heward – Mills was given the mandate to preach at the burial service of the late Capt. Adam Mahama who happens to be a member of his church.
The burial service of the late Captain took place at the Forecourt of the State house in Accra – Ghana.
Bishop Dag Heward – Mills preached concerning the soul saying, “Your soul can be required of you at any time and it can go to hell or heaven.
In Luke 12, Jesus told the story of the rich fool who thought he was going to live forever but suddenly the Lord said, thou fool; this night your soul will be required of you. Today your soul might not be required of you but one day, your soul would be required of you. Your soul can be save by having faith in God and if any man draws back, my soul may not have pleasure in Him.”
He concluded his sermon by making an alter call to win souls for Christ. He continued by saying, “what shall it profit a man to gain the whole world and loses his life”. We should be mindful of where our soul would be after our departure from the world and turn in a Godly life.
Bishop prayed for peace for the Nation Ghana and wisdom for the leaders of the country.
Lastly he prayed for the soul of the late Capt. Mahama to rest in peace and be in the bosom of the Almighty God.
