[PROFILE] Diana Hopeson

A Ghanaian gospel musician, Diana Hopeson, formerly known as Diana Akiwumi was born in Accra. A daughter to Francis Arhin and Hannah Amoo. She attended Winneba Secondary School and University of Ghana, where she studied Theatre Arts. She is a Minstrel in Miracle Life Gospel Center and was the President of the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA).

Diana Hopeson is a song writer/composer, a lead singer of her band and was a coordinator for Gospel Musicians in Ghana and the Proprietor of DD Business links. In 1993, she won the best gospel music award from ECRAG and was also recommended by Billy Graham Evangelistic Association on her music as one of the best from Africa. Diana also won the Best Personality and Best Female Artiste award in 1997 and 1998 respectively by the King David’s Awards in Ghana.

She has 6 Albums to her credit which contains worship songs that are authentic traditional highlife rhythms, modern combination of Reggae and medleys.
