Resolving Problems As a Couple

1Peter 4:8- “Have intense love for one another, because love covers a multitude of sins.”

Almost every couple face tough problems on their path to growing a healthy and intimate relationship. Most at times, the problems may rise from differences in the views, ideas, thoughts or feelings about the way they handle some issues. Very common, though rare, some problems may arise out of unforeseen events.

Even though it is really tempting to avoid reality, we must still try to face our fears and problems. What better counselor than the BIBLE would give you all that you need to overcome.

Below are helpful tips in resolving issues as a  couple:

  • Discuss the problem (Ecclesiastes 3:1,7)- Set an appropriate time to discuss the problem. Make sure you do not interrupt your partner when he or she is spesking.
  • Listen and understand (Romans 12:10)- Keep your mind open whiles listening, even if you do not agree with everything being said.
  • Follow Through (Proverbs 14:23)- Decide on practical ways to solve the problem at hand.
  • Tackle Every problem Together (Proverbs 24:3)- Find the right approach in bringing an issue on ground to promote a calm atmosphere for understanding and reconciliation.
