Rev. Emmanuel Asante, Chairman of The National Peace Council Join Former British and Arsenal footballer Sol Campbell, Stephen Appiah And George Boateng For the Launch of The Unity Match

Rev. Emmanuel Asante, Chairman of The National Peace Council on the 18th of January 2016, chaired the launch of the Unity Match which will take place on the 8th of June 2016.

He applauded Stephen Appiah, whose idea it was for a Unity match to be played during the election year. He said that it was laudable for football to be used to unite Ghanaians in this election year.

He advocated for peace and for the unity of all Ghanaians and reminded Ghanaians about how important peace was to the stability of this nation.

The Unity match is geared towards the peace and stability of Ghana since Ghana is well known as a football nation and as such bringing people together in this way is well received.

He also applauded Primeval Media, the leading sports event company in Ghana, organizers of the Unity Match for their part in the promotion of this great Event.

Rev. Emmanuel Appiah later unveiled Stephen Appiah as the Unity and Peace Ambassador for Election 2016.

In his final remarks, he reminded Ghanaians that we have only one nation, therefore we must unite to move Ghana Forward.
