Robbers invade church premises, steals GH¢100,000 worth of instrument

On Sunday, some suspected armed robbers allegedly broke into the premises of Living Grace Ministries International in the absence of the church’s private security man who left his post without notifying his employers and stole some items.

Some alleged stolen items from the church at Berlin-Top, a suburb of Fiapre in the Sunyani West District includes Belinger Composers (Compressor), Allen and Heath 24000 mixer board, TRX 4000 Amplifier, TRX 2500 amplifier, Yamaha E950 keyboard, Yamaha 9000 keyboard, two LCD 32 inches Television, Strong decoder and other worshipping equipment that worth over GH¢100,000.

The Founder and General Overseer of the Church, Bishop Dr. Richard Owusu Akyeaw, narrated to the media that, he had a distressed call from the Church Administrator, Pastor Kofi Boateng informing him about the incident.

According to him, Thomas, the private security man who was employed to keep vigil over the place at night vacated the premises. At his absence after receiving a telephone call from his wife that, one of his children was sick, that was when the burglars entered the church through the back window after cutting the metal mesh with a very sharp implement they left behind.

Bishop Richard Owusu said, the case is with the police and they are still investigating. The private security man is in hold with the police to help further investigation. He also pleaded with the general public to also help with investigation to arrest the victims.
