How do we know they are wolves? The Bible tells us the truth:
1. We have one intercessor and advocate before the throne of grace.
He alone is at the right hand of God interceding for us (See Romans 8:34) and He alone paid the ultimate and complete price with His own blood that we may have salvation. When we believe and live in obedience to His commandments then he comes with His father and dwells in each of us (John 15).
2. Nobody here on earth has more permission or authority before the throne of Grace than any other who believes in the Lord and confesses Jesus Christ as his/her savior – there is only one Way to the Father…. (John14:6) His name is Jesus.
He alone is our great High Priest (See Hebrews 4:16) and we ALL can draw near with confidence to the throne of grace to receive help in time of need.
3. These practices are in direct disobedience and contrast to Jesus instructions to His disciples. In Matthew 10:8 Jesus says to his disciples “And as you go, preach, saying “The kingdom of God is at hand.” heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, cast out demons. Freely you received, freely give. Do not acquire gold or silver or copper for your money belts…..”
This does not mean Pastors/prophets should not ‘eat’. Jesus does not say so but such provision should never come from exploiting the suffering, promising material riches or selling healing. They too should walk in faith knowing the Jesus says the ‘laborer is worthy of their wages’. I testify, as will many true pastors and prophets that even in this, He is an ever faithful and generous provider for His servants.
For true followers of Christ who do know the grace of God and know that many are being deceived this way…we have a duty to spread the good news, to tell of Jesus love so freely given and available to all who believe, to proclaim the Authority that we each have in His name over all the powers of evil (Matt 28:18, Philippians 2:10) and to say there is only one Way to the Throne and He is not for sale!!!!
Many are deceived by the promises of riches, houses, cars etc…In Psalm 84:10 the psalmist says “I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the mansion of wickedness”. Jesus asks “What does it profits a man if he gains the whole world and loses his soul (Matthew 16:26).
Those promises of riches, fame and fortune from these Wolves come at a hidden price and when you buy from their ‘shops’ you become a customer in the devil’s shopping mall. It is a contract that lasts for eternity!!!!
So dear brothers and sisters, think upon this…who are the wolves in your neighborhood….are you worshipping at their throne? Are you looking to others to speak to YOUR Father on your behalf? Are you ignoring the gift of salvation gained for you on the cross and robbing Jesus of your worship to give to another masquerading in His name?
What stops you from approaching the Throne of grace with confidence?
Be truly and abundantly blessed and may you truly come to know the love of your Father (See Ephesian 3:18) and know that there is no price that could be attached ….it has already been paid IN FULL.
