Steven Curtis Chapman “Worship and Believe”

Early Thoughts…
Up to 2015, Steven Curtis Chapman has been everywhere and seen everything that pretty much any CCM superstar can see, and likewise has given fans of Christian music pretty much anything they could ever want… except an overt worship album. Chapman is, of course, no stranger to praising God in music (songs like “God Is God,” “Speechless,” “Yours,” or “A Moment Made For Worshiping” and many others prove that point), but a full album of Sunday-morning-ready music is just not something that he felt led to do.

Until now, that is…

On Worship and Believe, Chapman has given his fans something very different from his past work. Bearing much more in common with Chris Tomlin’s latest album Love Ran Red than Chapman’s own The Glorious Unfolding, Chapman’s newest album may not be what Chapman’s most discriminating fans would like to hear… at least at first. Time will tell just how strongly Worship and Believe will hold up against his previous work (not to mention other worship albums in the market)…
