THE CHRISTIAN COUNCIL HAS STRESSED ON THE NEED FOR THE EC TO HAVE CONSIDERED CONCERNS RAISED BY GHANAIANS ON THE NEED FOR NEW VOTERS REGISTER

The General Secretary of the Christian Council Reverend Dr. Kwabena Opuni-Frimpong stressed on the need for the Electoral Commission to have recognized the strong admission by Ghanaians that the current voters register is not credible enough.

In an interview with gospelcrusader.com, he said the Electoral Commission should consider concerns raised by Ghanaians since the commission’s survival depends on the tax payer’s money.

An earlier statement issued by the council the group expressed fears that the position taken by the Electoral Commission of Ghana to maintain the current voters register could plunge chaos in the country.
