The Lamp Devotion – Make No Little Plans

Isaiah 54:1-3

“Sing, O barren one, who did not bear; break forth into singing and cry aloud, you who have not been in labor! For the children of the desolate one will be more than the children of her who is married,” says the Lord. 2 “Enlarge the place of your tent, and let the curtains of your habitations be stretched out; do not hold back; lengthen your cords and strengthen your stakes. 3 For you will spread abroad to the right and to the left, and your offspring will possess the nations and will people the desolate cities.

If you receive a message from the Lord like the one in this passage, what do you do? If you were doing a ten thousand dollar business, you find ways of increasing your capacity to fifty thousand dollars. If you were writing four books a year, you will make provision for publishing seven a year. If your net worth is one million dollars you create capacity to increase to two million. That is what enlarging your tent means.

No one wants to experience what the Shunammite woman did; because she had no vessels, the flow of the oil ceased. I know you cannot have unlimited capacity, but never limit yourself when you get a message like this from God Himself. God continues reminding you till He starts pouring and whatever you receive will be determined by the capacity of your containers. The bigger your barn, the more they can contain. What a promise from the Lord!

Ask for wisdom to be able to interpret enlarging your tent in your own context. It will differ from person to person but the promise for increase is the same to all. Make sure you have enough containers for the breakthroughs God is sending your way.

Give thanks for the rain that is about to fall upon your house.
Ask for great wisdom concerning what exactly you should do to ensure that you have enough capacity to hold the rain.
Father, please free me from limited thinking and grant me wisdom as I create containers for the harvest.

I declare by divine authority, that I am ready to receive the outpouring of God’s abundance upon my life. I receive wisdom to create containers for the increase in the name of Jesus. I make no plans for failure, I enlarge the place of my tents and receive an overflow of the unlimited blessings of God over my life in the name of Jesus.
