1 Timothy 4:4-5 “For everything created by God is good, and nothing is to be rejected, if it is received with gratitude; for it is sanctified by means of the word of God and prayer”.
I watched a video on facebook today. It was a Born Different episode which had to do with a nigerian girl from Kano, Nigeria. She is decribed as a girl who lives in a bowl. This happened after her arms and legs failed to develop.
Amazing enough, at the age of 19, with her severe unknown health condition, she gave a positive response when she was interviewded. She was so grateful for having the support of her family. Most importantly, she thanked God for her life everyday. And the fact that she has plans of owning her own grocery shop someday.
This story teaches a lot about the need to be grateful. Many do not have what we have but they are still grateful. We all don’t have a perfect wonderful life like fairytales do. However, being grateful sets us in a state of optimist-ism to look forth to the future.
Lord give me strength as you teach me to do everything, one day at a time.
