UBER RAPE CASES ON THE RISE…

Uber transport is under a mother company Uber Technologies Inc. which was founded in March 2009. It is owned by Travis Kalanick and Garrett Camp. Its headquarters is in San Francisco and is active in over 630 cities worldwide. Uber has been one of the successful emergency transport service in this evolving age. This is due to its level of ease when finding a car to take you out and back to a known or unknown location, no matter the time. You only have to download the Uber App and follow the necessary information in order to have an Uber experience.

Even though Uber has been marked as a reliable transport service company, there seem to be a lot of alarming incidents rising up from this network.

Many people have reported series of fraudulent cases like; robbery, verbal or physical assault, kidnapping, poor customer service and the currently trending news; Sexual Abuse and Rape. It has been reported recently in Boston, USA that an Uber driver, Fredrick Amfo, who after raping a passenger, Emily Murray, has fled to his country of origin, Ghana. Frederick Amfo is now a fugitive after the incident on the 8th of April, 2018.

Several cases have also been reported worldwide in USA, Malaysia, Singapore, Ghana, Nigeria, India, China, Philippine, etc.
