Perez Theatre Act (PTA), a drama department under Timothy Generation, the youth wing of Perez Chapel International is set to thrill its loyal fans with Drama Night 2017. The annual program which has chalked successes over the years is coming off at the Perez Dome, Dzorwulu this December.
Known for their humour and Christ centred stage plays, the group has managed to produce five consistent productions since the inception of its program.
As they celebrate five years of stage play and humour, this year promises to be one that would cause a rib cracking audience. The title for this year’s drama is “WAGADRII” meaning deception. WAGADRII is a colloquial language in the Ghanaian setting which depicts a cunning character.
Speaking to the President of PTA, Smart Takyi Nixon, he said “we are expecting to rake in about 2000 people this December. We want Drama Night to become a go-to show every year.”
According to him, they chose Christmas night strategically to pull an audience who wouldn’t have a place to go on Christmas evening but would want to have fun.
The program cuts across all arts like spoken word, choreography, Christian rap and short skits. The President said, “The interesting part is that, it is FREE. We aren’t charging anyone a pesewa for attending”.
The event will take place at the biggest auditorium in Ghana, the Perez Dome Dzorwulu. It starts at 4pm on 25th December, 2017
