What is your purpose?

“Go into the world and preach the gospel to all creation.  Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.”(Mark 15:15-16)

Many do not understand why people come into this world and later have to leave it. Some have a weird belief that the dead would reincarnate into a new body. Which I believe is a way of calming the hurt feelings of the victims who have lost a beloved.

However, it is important to know that we are mortal beings. We came into this world as babies and as we grow each day, we would definitely leave this world someday. Either through a natural death or an unexpected tragedy.

But as life goes on, you would definitely get to a point where you may question your purpose in life. Whether it is to be famous, so you are liked and accepted? Or it is to chase after riches and fulfill lustful pleasures. Even though these pleasures make you lose the desire of who you really are.

God created you for a purpose. To worship Him and you can never be fulfilled without this. This purpose is bigger and precious than all fleshly desires you seek. What is your purpose? In the scripture above, our is spelt out clearly. It is to win souls for the kingdom of God. Our purpose is to live for others as Christ did. A life of significance that impacts other lives. A life where God can do extraordinary things through you. To create a world bond with love and understanding.

You do not always have to go the rough paths of life to later realize you never lived your purpose. You may not get a second chance to change those paths. It could be too late. But you have an opportunity now. That change starts from you, so be the change you want to see.
