The heaven, even the heavens, are the LORD’S: but the earth has he given to the children of men. Psalm 115:16
Jean Finnegan Biden, a strong leader and mother of Vice President Joe Biden once told her son: “everyone is equal to you” She continued, “bravery lives in every heart, and [the] expectation is that it will be summoned [one day].
In other words, what anyone can do, you can also do, only better. The reading today, written about 3000 years after creation still affirms that, in spite of the fall, God’s purpose for man did not change. Knowing who God is, it would be strange if it did.
It is necessary to understand that, God, in giving man dominion over the earth, took into consideration the fact that man would fall. God knew that man would fall, but you can trust that our meticulous God had it all covered. The blood of Jesus has restored our connection to the Father who is the source of all power. “For all authority comes from God…” (Romans 13:1)
Consequently, John teaches that when we believe in Jesus, we receive power to become sons of God (John 1:12), making it possible to rule again. But this does not always come on a silver plate for the kingdom of heaven suffers violence but the violent shall take it by force (Matthew 11:12). Paul reveals the amount of power that God has made available in order to empower His children for purpose in Ephesians 1:15-22.
It is equivalent to the power, which was required to raise Jesus from the dead and sit Him up on the right hand of majesty. This power, declares Paul, is “far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come.” It is time to change your perspective in order have the perception of God. For Father knows that bravery lives in your heart and He is waiting to summon you someday. Will you be ready?
